Cloud Computing Software as a Service (SaaS)

Compare Cloud Computing (Software as a Service - SaaS) and On-premise Software

With a few exceptions, these
are common definitions:

Cloud Computing Software: The application is running on a remote server and accessed via a browser on the Internet. Generally, a vendor owns the server and the software (although an organization can own the software and host it on a remote server) and the customer uses the software like a service. This is Software as a Service (SaaS) and is either Windows-based or a web application.   On-premise Software: The application is running on a server in-house or at a data center and accessed via a wide-area network. One can also access some data via the Internet. The customer generally owns the server and the software, which is usually Windows-based.

Synergy has two foundational solutions, Microsoft Dynamics SL, a Windows-based application, which can be deployed hosted (in the cloud) or on-premise, and Intacct, a cloud-based web application. Also see What is Cloud Computing?
